The Hong Kong Government has launched the GBA Youth Employment Scheme since 2021 to encourage Hong Kong young people to work in the GBA Mainland cities so as to foster their career development and exchange of talent within the area. Under the scheme, Hong Kong enterprises employ eligible young people in accordance with Hong Kong laws and station them in the GBA Mainland cities to work and receive on-the-job training.  Enterprises have to offer a salary level comparable with market rate for hiring sub-degree holders and no less than HK$18,000 for university graduates.  The government grants a monthly allowance equivalent to 60% of the monthly salary capped at $12,000 to enterprises for each employed young person for a maximum period of 18 months.  365-day comprehensive support in the Mainland including telephone hotline, dedicated social media group, legal consultation, emotional support and various group activities is provided for the young people joining the scheme to help them adapt to the new environment, solve problems encountered at workplace, make friends and build up professional network.  Hong Kong young people aged 29 or below with sub-degree qualifications or above are welcome to join.  To learn more, visit the scheme website at www.jobs.gov.hk/gbayes or contact us at 2969 0446/2969 0460.
