What you’ll be doing?
We’re looking for a strategic and driven Commercial Manager to lead the expansion of Sabre Direct Pay in the APAC region. You’ll partner with top travel agencies, including OTAs and TMCs, offering innovative payment solutions that streamline transactions, improve operational efficiency, and enhance security measures. In addition to driving sales, you will manage key customer accounts to ensure satisfaction and long-term retention.
Key Responsibilities:
• Spearhead the growth of Sabre Direct Pay by developing and managing a robust pipeline of high-potential leads, converting prospects into customers swiftly to ensure rapid market penetration.
• Oversee every stage of the sales process, from initial contact to increasing customer spend and building loyalty, driving revenue and securing new business.
• Manage key client relationships, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and addressing any needs or concerns that may arise to promote long-term partnerships.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including customer success, finance, partnerships, and product—while aligning with Sabre GDS sales teams to exploit existing client opportunities.
• Set and exceed revenue and customer acquisition goals, regularly reporting performance metrics and providing actionable insights and strategies for continued success.
• Ensure all sales activities, including account management interactions, are meticulously recorded in the CRM for clear visibility and strategic decision-making.
• Take charge of business growth efforts, from presenting solutions and negotiating contracts to managing key client relationships for ongoing success and upsell opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends and competitors, offering strategic insights to maintain Sabre’s leadership in travel payment solutions.
• Represent the company at key industry events, showcasing our solutions and fostering influential relationships within the travel payments space.
Qualifications And Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or technology.
• 6+ years of experience in strategic sales and/or business development role in the travel tech or payments industry.
• Understanding of the travel industry, including the distribution landscape and the role of technology in driving agency sales will be a plus.
• Proven track record of successful sales performance and achieving targets.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
• Business level fluency in English and a major Asian language.
Personal Attributes:
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage C-level stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
• Excellent negotiation skills and proficiency in financial deal modeling.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric orientation.
