About the Role

As the Head of Data Science and Applied AI, you'll be responsible for driving the development and implementation of AI solutions across our Markets and Securities Services division. You'll work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop business cases, and manage a team of data scientists and AI developers.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Sales, Trading, and IT teams to identify AI opportunities and develop business cases.
• Lead a team of data scientists and AI developers to deliver high-impact projects.
• Establish a culture of innovation and rapid development of AI tools within a robust control framework.
• Ensure all model and AI risk management requirements are met prior to production.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on data science, AI, and AI risk management for colleagues across Asia.
• Develop relationships with key data science and AI teams to ensure collaboration and avoid duplication of efforts.
• Work closely with regulatory teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory landscapes.
Requirements

We're looking for a seasoned professional with a PhD in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. You'll need extensive experience developing and productionizing AI/ML solutions in banking/finance, strong planning and communication skills, and the ability to prioritize workloads and build lasting relationships with stakeholders.

Desirable qualifications include experience in investment banking and delivering AI solutions for Front Office stakeholders, as well as knowledge of regulatory trends and developments relating to AI.
