Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reach and exceed yearly events budget as assigned.
• Support the Director of Events Sales to successfully manage function diary to ensure bookings are appropriately qualified, accurately recorded, standards applied, revenue detailed accurately and within guidelines, activities recorded, decision due and cut off dates followed and lost business analyzed.
• Assist in management of incoming event enquiries to ensure efficient response time.
• Focus on lead conversion and key opportunities, in effort to maximize hotel revenue.
• Accurately identify and define the event, dates, times, function space requirement, expected attendance, flow, budget, client expectations and level of influence and decision making power of contacts in the customer organization and use these to secure event business.
• Analyze, negotiate and prepare proposals, contracts and addendums according to hotel availability and demand while maintaining price integrity.
• Coordinate accurate, up-to-date revenue with changes whenever necessary together with sales activities are recorded in the system.
• Regular review key competitors’ study on pricing, packages, booking trends in order to cope with market trends and work with Director of Event Sales on pricing strategies from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sizeable luxury hotel and catering group with 2 years in similar capacity
• Detail oriented, organized and able to handle a fast paced environment
• Possess excellent guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal bilingual communication skills is a must (both English and Chinese)
