What we are looking for

Ampd Energy is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team with a minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software engineering. This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop Ampd Energy’s Microgrid Controller and DERM’s platform. You can contribute with your knowledge and passion in the development of innovative technologies that accelerate the deployment of renewable energy technologies.

What you need
• Background in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
• At least 5 years of prior relevant experience in embedded software development using C, C++ and Python.
• Experience in Embedded Linux (or other RTOS) and GUI framework is a plus.
• Strong in Software Design Methodologies and Processes such as peer reviews (doc+code), version control, issue tracking, etc.
• Understanding of power electronics and battery systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of standard industrial communication protocols including SPI, CANbus, Modbus etc.
• Experience in Agile methodology such as Scrum is a plus.

What you will be doing
• Develop and maintain embedded code for Microgrid Controller (load sharing, paralleling) and the Energy Management System (EMS), controlling high power devices.
• Work with Cloud development team in IoT/telemetry reporting.
• Develop smart algorithms for arbitrage, peak shaving, etc.
• Support software architecture design, requirements analysis, interface definition.
• Collaborate closely with hardware and system engineers for system integration and product certification.
• Conduct system validation and verification supported with automated tools.
• Ensure system reliability and functional safety compliance.
• Troubleshoot and root cause analysis of field issues remotely.
• Write technical documents for design concept, product spec, etc.
