What we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests for our software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs, develop and execute automated tests, and ensure the highest quality of our products. Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for software applications using various testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Pytest)
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and prioritize testing needs, and develop test plans and strategies to ensure comprehensive testing coverage
• Develop and execute exploratory, automated tests, including unit tests, integration tests and end-to-end tests
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues found during testing, and work with development teams to resolve defects
• Develop and maintain testing infrastructure, including test data management, test environment setup, and test result reporting
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that testing best practices are followed
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing, and apply this knowledge to improve testing processes and tools
• Collaborate with QA teams to develop and maintain testing processes and procedures
• Work closely with development teams to ensure that testing is integrated into the agile development process
• Provide input to product roadmaps and ensure that testing needs are considered during product planning
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for testing frameworks, tools, and processes
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in software development and testing, with a focus on automated testing
• Working experience working in the banking and insurance industries, with knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or Pytest
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and testing principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Nice to Have:
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with test data management and test environment setup
• Certification in software testing or a related field (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE)
