Job Title: Technical Support Officer
About the Role:
HKT is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Officer to join our team. As a Technical Support Officer, you will be responsible for managing and administering 2nd Tier IT infrastructure systems and advanced ServiceDesk service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain computer system policy and procedure documents with the software development team to align with new business requirements.
• Plan and oversee computer systems, including servers, storage, and backups, network and security operations projects with optimal configuration, application tuning, and performance monitoring by industry good practice.
• Act as the primary role for internal audit response by defined standards, policies, and procedures to meet compliance and regulatory requirements, including asset inventory control, facilities management, information and network security, vulnerability, and lifecycle management.
• Sustain regular proactive review and liaise with vendors for agreed SLAs, change management, incident response reporting, etc.
• Support ad-hoc, standby, emergency call-out, and overtime work as assigned by the supervisor may be required.
About You:
We are looking for a candidate with a Degree/Higher Diploma in Information and Communications Technology or Computing-related disciplines. Proven experience and knowledge on Windows and Linux administration and operation, information and cybersecurity, virtualization, and networking will be an advantage.
Requirements:
• Good interpersonal and problem-solving skill, self-motivated, and willing to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and written in English and Chinese.
• Candidate with less experience or qualification will be considered as Senior Technical Officer.
• 5-day work location: Kowloon and New Territories.
