DevOps Engineer (Technical build, Azure Management)

Alumni Services are looking for a highly skilled DevOps or Cloud Engineer to join our team in Hong Kong to create innovative digital products and solutions for our global business. The candidate will be Client Facing, participating in billable consulting engagements leading and delivering on technical engagements including architecture, cloud migration, product ownership and product implementation. The ideal candidate should have advanced technical experience, as well as excellent communication skills.

About the role
• Managing customer relationships within the technical teams
• Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs
• Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
• Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities.
• Managing stakeholders and external interfaces
• Setting up tools and required infrastructure
• Defining and governing technology security architecture
• Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.
• Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs
• Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
• Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
• Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
• Incidence management and root cause analysis
• Coordination and communication within the team and with customers
• Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
• Training, Mentoring and guiding the team members
• Building Cloud landing zones and operational environments
• Setting up Terraform (and other Infrastructure as Code environments)
• Setting up cloud infrastructure cush as SCCM, Intune, SCCM, ect.
• Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs
• Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer

Experience
• 10+ years experience in 6+ years’ experience in DevSecOps
• Ideally Ideally FinOps experience.
• 5+ years’ experience working on cloud transformation
• 5+ years’ experience working directly on Azure and AWS
• Experience setting up Cloud Landing Zones
• Experience migrating applications to the cloud
• Experience setting up cloud management services like InTune, VDI, SCCM, etc.
• Experience of taking personal accountability for transformational outcomes
• Experience of operating model, enterprise architecture, and/or process transformation
• Deep architecture knowledge across Security, Applications, Data and Technology
• Deep experience in both design and delivery
• Experience in delivery within a Scaled Agile environment
• Experience of change management as it relates to DevSecOps mindset
• Experience of embedding and/or running DevSecOps capabilities
• Excellent communicator with strong EQ
• Design thinking
• Self-starter
• Entrepreneurial spirit with the hunger to operate in a start-up culture
• Proven experience operating both strategically and tactically operating successfully with both C-Suite and operational staff
• Has a strong interest in emerging technologies and practical knowledge of how they apply to digital transformation and disruption across different industries (e.g. Streaming, blockchain, AI/ML, Robotics, Cloud)
• Confident in leading/facilitating meetings regardless of audience

Education and Qualifications

We highly value technical and professional accreditation and looking for candidates who have invested in their career with some or all of the following
• AWS / Azure certified Architect
• Microsoft or AWS Certified Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
• Bachelors Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or engineering
• Relevant industry standard security qualifications
