As an Instructional Designer, you'll directly impact user adoption and satisfaction by developing engaging training materials. Collaborate with our founding and Technical Support team and be part of a company that's defining the future of retail documentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Onboarding and Training:
○ Conduct live onboarding calls with new clients and customers to familiarize them with Pergamon CMS, its features, and workflows.
○ Provide hands-on guidance to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and demonstrate how to access support resources.
○ Provide product training through virtual sessions and onsite training
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration: ○ Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Support, Marketing, and other stakeholders to identify training requirements and align materials with business goals.
○ Work closely with the Product Management and Technical Support teams to acquire product knowledge and ensure training materials are accurate and up-to-date.
3. Training Material Development:
○ Design and develop a variety of product training materials, including: ■ How-to videos and tutorials. ■ Interactive walkthroughs and simulations.
○ Utilize tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, and other e-learning software to create high-quality training content.
○ Manage YouTube channel to host product training videos.
4. Learning Management System (LMS) Integration:
○ Host and manage training materials on LMS platforms, ensuring compatibility with e-learning standards such as SCORM and xAPI.
○ Track and analyze user engagement and performance through LMS analytics.
5. Certification Pathways:
○ Develop product certification programs to validate user proficiency and encourage continuous learning.
○ Create structured learning pathways, including assessments, quizzes, and certifications.
6. Continuous Improvement:
○ Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to refine and improve training materials.
○ Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in instructional design and e-learning.
Qualifications
● Proven experience (at least 3 years) as an Instructional Designer, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment.
● Portfolio showcasing onboarding materials, product training videos, e-learning modules, and other training materials.
● Technical mindset with the ability to quickly learn and explain complex enterprise software systems.
● Proficiency in using LMS platforms and e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate).
● Knowledge of e-learning standards such as SCORM and xAPI.
● Top notch communicative competence in English along with proven cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical teams across different time zones.
● Experience in live training delivery (e.g., hands-on training, onboarding calls) is a plus.
● Willingness to travel for onsite training sessions as needed.
