This role is suitable for experienced business development professionals who are motivated by the opportunity to apply their business acumen to the prepositioning and capture strategy for winning tenders on megaprojects that are pivotal in delivering a better world. The Strategic Business Development & Pursuits Director, Asia is a senior member of our Asia Major Pursuits Studio.
Based in Hong Kong, this role is instrumental in orchestrating the strategic and structured approach to position AECOM for identified priority business opportunities as early as possible, across the spectrum of thought leadership, strategic marketing, and client engagement, up to and including preparation of the proposal and for the interview when the tender is announced. The Strategic Business Development & Pursuits Director will partner with other key members of the Asia Major Pursuits Studio who are in complementary roles, to work as a team alongside capture leads from relevant regional and global business lines, and subject matter experts from relevant technical disciplines. This role will also be accountable for driving a process that is both customized for the local market and compliant with AECOM’s global best practice framework.
Qualifications
• Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant business management &/or marketing discipline
• Proficiency in use of collaboration and CRM software tools such as SharePoint, Mural, Salesforce and Qualtrics as well as Microsoft Words, Excel, PowerPoint
• Knowledge of the functionalities of Adobe Creative Suite in particular InDesign
• Business writing in English for proposals and presentations (samples appreciated)
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin is a plus)
Experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience working with B2B roles – infrastructure or professional services industry
• Proven track record in managing capture strategies, tenders and client management programs for a multinational company, involving the infrastructure industry in Asia
• Working in multidisciplinary, cross-regional, cross-levels environments
• Organizing dynamic teams formed on an assignment basis to turn “ambition into action”
• Working on multiple assignments concurrently
