Role Overview:
At Fortinet, we are seeking a highly skilled Regional Security Architect to lead our practice and introduce the overall technical vision for a particular solution. This individual will be the expert in charge of designing, describing, and managing the solution in relation to specific business problems. As the domain expert of the assigned solution, they will be the "go to" resource for developing security solutions for telco and managed security services customers.
The Regional Security Architect will be responsible for analyzing the technology environment, enterprise domain specifics, documenting requirements, setting the collaboration framework, creating solution prototypes, participating in technology selection, solution development, and support in project management. They will also find the best technical solution among all possible to solve existing business problems and present to customers as our expert in the domain and Fortinet's Security Fabric at all levels in the customer hierarchy.
Responsibilities:
• Highly skilled individual involved in analyzing the technology environment, enterprise domain specifics, documenting requirements, setting the collaboration framework, creating solution prototypes, participating in technology selection, solution development, and support in project management.
• Finding the best technical solution among all possible to solve existing business problems.
• Presents to customers as our expert in the domain and Fortinet's Security Fabric at all levels in the customer hierarchy, from technician to CIO.
• Field and deals focused, evangelizing solution offerings, customer engagement for strategic or large opportunities.
• Formulates technical win strategies and discusses, with credibility, competitive offers in the marketplace and positions ours as the best alternative.
• Leads conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape that every partner/customer needs to be aware of and planning to deal with when moving to the next generation infrastructure and service offering.
• Works closely with the Regional SE Director, Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D team, while sharing feedback from the field and promoting new technical requirements.
• Provides design consultation and best practice guidance.
• Champions the Customer Engagement Practice to develop deep technical account coverage on strategic accounts across the region.
• Works closely with the regional cybersecurity specialist and supports in demonstrations, proof of value, and proof of concept that showcase our value argumentations.
• Works closely with regional cybersecurity specialists to demos for strategic prospects and current accounts in all facets of Fortinet's security fabric.
• Helps develop relationships with technology alliances, partners who will be critical to winning over new top-tier customers.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Graduate degree preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of various enterprise security and networking solutions, experience that emphasizes L2-L4 Networking, Network Security, Virtualization, and Cloud Computing.
• Experience in Software-Defined Networking, Network Firewall virtualization, and Orchestration.
• Good understanding of Infrastructure automation (like Puppet, Chef, Ansible) Orchestration (Kubernetes, Mesos, Swarm) and Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack).
• Experience in API scripting, security strategies for container and microservice platforms.
• Knowledge of the following technologies: Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Intrusion Detection, Anti-Virus, Advanced Threat Prevention, Web Application Firewall, Distributed Denial of Service, Application Delivery Controller, and Mail security.
• Strong understanding in concepts of mitigating attack vectors and defense in depth.
• Strong knowledge on upcoming security and networking trends and the ability to stitch Fortinet's suite of products into a turnkey solution.
• Good understanding of encryption and authentication concepts.
• Good understanding of virtualization and service chaining.
• Strong advocate of consultative-based approach in solutioning and selling.
• Good team player and highly motivated individual with strong problem-solving mentality.
• Experience in Private Cloud such as Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, OpenStack, and demonstrable experience in securing these environments.
• BSCS or equivalent, and 8+ years of experience as an SE or systems integrator.
• Preferably with achievement on CCNP, CISSP, GIAC, FCNSP NSE, AWS CSA, or MCSE.
• Willing to travel across the region frequently.
