The University is inviting experienced applicants to join the Internal Audit Office (IAO). The Internal Audit Officer reports to the Internal Audit Manager on project basis and overall to the Senior Internal Audit Manager.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform financial, operational, and compliance audits (consisting of audit planning, fieldwork, reporting, and subsequent audit recommendations follow-up);
• Identify and timely report observations of internal control deficiencies as well as formulating suitable recommendations;
• Foster effective working relationship and ensure good oral and written communication with the internal and external stakeholders; and
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Office.
Desirable competencies and attributes
• Attention to details, but able to see big picture;
• Good interpersonal skills with effective communication skills, especially a good command of oral and written English and Cantonese;
• Ability to think objectively with strong analytical skills in the assessment and evaluation of operating systems, processes, or procedures;
• Adaptable and able to work with all types of individuals including the Senior Management and Department Head with resilience to push through resistance in a constructive manner; and
• Proficiency in using MS Office suite applications.
Applicants should have a degree preferably in business, accounting, finance, or information system (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or related fields. Knowledge of the University's operations is an advantage. Candidates from other related fields who demonstrate strong competencies or have other relevant attributes etc. may also be considered. (Duration: 1 year or 2 years)
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave,medical and dentalbenefits will be provided where applicable.
