Senior System Analyst, Core Administration System in Hong Kong

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide BAU support and modernize core policy administration systems
• Build robust and efficient policy issue and policy services administration system with Straight-Through integration with various front-end platforms
• Design and develop comprehensive, robust and automated operation process to business units well as policy servicing and accounting modules
• Streamline system processes for system simplification
• Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability
• Prepare functional specification and system documentation
• Analyse and identify requirements, bring-in possible solutions, simplicity and improve business
• Manage project development and implementation and supporting users on change control and system updates
• Provide guidance to junior developer(s) including but not limited to analyse and resolve technical and application problems in timely manner
• Manage project risks & escalate project issues

Key Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science or IT related disciplines with minimum 5 years of experience delivering enterprise software
• Hands-on experience in Java, MVC framework like Apache Struts, AS/400 and ETL/Messaging technologies
• Knowledge in SSIS, PlanetPress workflow letter engine and Tableau is preferable
• Experience with third-party libraries and integration layer is an advantage
• Experience in business requirement collection and system analysis
• Concrete knowledge on insurance business, systems and processes
• Insurance business process background and knowledge is an advantage
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem solving and presentation skills
