Established in 1901, Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong aims to help the youth to develop a holistic character and contribute to the society by providing activities and services in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Christian Spirit: “To serve, not to be served”. The Association is now looking for high caliber candidates to fill the following position:
Responsibilities
• Review and closely monitor the daily accounting operation of a number of subsidiary companies and new projects
• Review the accounting entries on payments and receipts
• Handle month-end closing, financial reporting and analysis
• Review the general ledgers and financial statements
• Develop effective workflow and write up internal policy and guideline
• Handle tax compliance
• Execute internal control and report irregularity (if any) to the Finance Manager
• Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting and perform budget controls and budget monitoring
• Ensure proper maintenance of fixed asset register
• Arrange STATUTORY audit and liaise with external auditor
• Assist in banking issue
• Occasional travel to the Mainland China is required
• Handle ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor
Requirements
• Either have a degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics/ Business Administration, or equivalent; or be a Certified Public Accountant registered with the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, or equivalent; or be a Chartered Financial Analyst registered with CFA Institute
• Have attained Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent
• Have at least one year post-qualification relevant working experience
• Be able to speak fluent Cantonese & Putonghua
• Familiar with China tax, rules and regulations
• Working location: Yau Ma Tei
Monthly salary will be starting at HK$ 28,225 (MPS point 11), commensurate with years of related experience.
