Assistant Hawker Control Officer 助理小販管理主任

Hawker Control Officers are responsible for controlling on-street hawking activities, managing hawker permitted places and taking law enforcement action against illegal hawking activities. They also play an important part in prosecuting people who have committed cleanliness offences, such as littering and spitting.

Entry Requirements:
Candidates should have–
(a)(i) Level 2 or equivalent or above in three subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent; or Level 2 / Grade E or above in three subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and 3 years’ post-qualification working experience; OR
(a)(ii) Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects in HKDSEE, or equivalent; or Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects in HKCEE, or equivalent; and 2 years’ post-qualification working experience;
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent;
(c) passed a relevant physical test for assessing candidates’ physique in carrying out law enforcement duties; and
(d) a pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test.
(Note: the three/five subjects in items 1(a)(i) and 1(a)(ii) above may include Chinese Language and English Language.)
