Gusto Collective Hong Kong is looking for a Senior Experiential Tech Engineer as a core part of team responsible for developing the front and back end components of our immersive products. Examples of work include:
• Mixed reality SDK to help apps uplift user engagement and extend physical experiences;
• Use of mixed reality in brand events and campaigns to supercharge storytelling;
• XR(AR/VR/MR) in education and training environments to deliver knowledge immersively.

This role is intellectually challenging and highly dynamic. As you execute your responsibilities, you will be broadening your view towards the current technology offerings and developing an understanding of the market. Your work will impact our client’s innovation blueprint and hence their value creation.

Work Scope

Reporting directly to Gusto Collective’s Unity Developer Lead and working closely alongside many other technical team members, this position will play a crucial role in our company’s growth and success. Your main responsibilities will be:
• Cooperate with the team in prototyping, designing and developing XR applications;
• Collaborate with Creative, Project Management, Product and Full Stack Engineering teams in developing ways to use our existing XR capabilities in different client projects and mandates;
• Work with the 3D content team to implement 3D environments and content into Unity environments;
• Work with technical and product teams to manage delivery, design and integration;
• Responsible for the feasibility assessment of project requirements, the design and implementation of the project framework and technical solutions;
• Provide engineering/technical design decisions;
• Ensure an advance level of architectural quality and performance in code and features;
• Management of documentation of all code and functionalities implemented;
• Always on the lookout for new technology and usage to strength our tech-powered storytelling for brands and partners.

Requirements & Skills
• Bachelor or above in Digital/Creative Multimedia Technology, Computer Science, App Development, Game Development, or a related field;
• Proficiency in Unity, C#, 3D scene development;
• Experience in managing design/delivery for both campaign and long-term solutions;
• Experience with evaluating UI/UX design efficacy;
• Experience with game engine tool chain or content production pipeline;
• Experience with XR tech, interactive devices, third-party SDKs(OpenCV) is a plus;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and strong ability to handle technical materials in English;
• Time management skills for carrying out tasks within a tight deadline;
• An eye for aesthetics.
