Our Global Insurance client is looking for a high calibre as an IT Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join their Infrastrcuture team to manage Cloud Transformation to Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Design: Analyze requirements to manage current traffic, ensure service continuity, and facilitate scaling. Decide which digital assets will reside in the cloud versus on-premises, and select appropriate hardware, software, and tools that align with technical and security needs.
Security Management: Assess threats and vulnerabilities, implement security standards, and ensure compliance. Develop a comprehensive disaster recovery plan with effective backup solutions for all infrastructure components.
Infrastructure Provisioning: Utilize Infrastructure as Code to automate provisioning and management, moving away from manual processes.
Project Management: Oversee software upgrades and system integrations, creating policies and procedures for seamless integration while managing the entire process as a project manager.
Monitoring and Logging: Collect and analyze performance data from various assets to ensure infrastructure health. Deploy automated tools for monitoring and alerting on issues.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain technical documentation detailing hardware, software, and responsibilities. Generate performance reports, problem-solving guides, and upgrade plans.
Key Requirements:
BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience, with 3+ years in a high-availability enterprise environment.
Azure, AWS, or GCP certifications (Azure preferred).
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, SAP architecture, and Windows/Linux server environments.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance standards.
