PocketTrader is an exciting new social trading platform. We've just acquired our first license and are starting to onboard real clients, so it's a great time to join a fintech company with a modern product and big ambitions, backed by a larger financial group.
The successful candidate would be working primarily on a new retail oriented trading platform. We are looking for mid to senior level applicants. Less senior applicants will be considered for the role of Junior Full Stack Developer.
Responsibilities
• To write concise, testable and readable code in Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript (ReactJS, Redux, Gatsby).
• To take ownership of user stories, to provide a developers insight into the proposed plans and to research potential solutions to encountered problems.
• Communicate with peers, team leads, scrum master, product owner and software development manager where necessary.
• Work in a fast paced agile environment, deliver sprint tasks on time.
• Will mainly work on groups trading applications, occasionally on static sites.
Requirements
• Experience as a full stack developer using JavaScript for web development, and Java for backend.
• Passionate about creating new fintech products, willing and keen to learn about certain aspects of finance that would be beneficial to understanding the product we are building.
• Fast mover, able to follow and work closely with backend team lead, operate relatively independently on the front end.
• Knowledge of Spring Boot, latest version of Java, AWS exposure, HTML/CSS, ReactJS or similar (Vue).
• Exposure/knowledge of FIX protocol would be advantageous.
• Able to create polished, responsive front-end interfaces that replicate designer prototypes as closely as possible.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese. Other languages would be considered beneficial.
