A fast growing Global IT Services Provider is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel - Data Protection & Privacy for a global group level role to provide expert legal guidance on data protection laws and regulations. This position will be instrumental in ensuring their compliance with applicable data privacy legislation, including GDPR and other relevant laws across their international operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on data privacy and protection matters, including compliance with applicable global laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate privacy-related contracts, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to implement data privacy strategies and initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze changes in data privacy regulations worldwide and advise on their impact on the company.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on data privacy best practices across different jurisdictions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data privacy law.
• Strong knowledge of global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
