The Senior HR Business Partner Manager, Hong Kong & Taiwan will partner with the Stryker leaders in Hong Kong and Taiwan to build and implement a strategic HR plan for the following businesses:
• Hong Kong & Taiwan Commercial teams
• APAC Finance Centre (team is based in Hong Kong)
• APAC Marketing team based in Hong Kong
• Corporate Function employees based in Hong Kong
This exciting and impactful opportunity will partner closely with regional leaders, whilst also sitting as part of the EA HR Leadership team.
This will be an individual contributor position, so 'influencing without authority' will be a key skill required in order to drive initiatives, projects, improvements etc within an matrixed environment
The key objectives of this role is to provide:
Strategic HR Leadership: Work with leaders to understand business needs and strategic priorities, and build the HR strategic plan. Develop, implement, and maintain successful HR strategies, including recruitment, engagement, and development initiatives.
Trusted Strategic Partner: Act as a trusted strategic partner and advisor to senior-level leadership and management in areas such as change management, organization development, work environment, culture, and talent management.
Change Management: Drive change strategies that align with a performance culture, using strong diagnostic and influencing skills to improve performance, business outcomes, and employee engagement.
Talent Management: Implement rigorous talent reviews, succession planning, and annual performance reviews. Assess leadership and soft skills capability needs and collaborate with relevant COE partners to implement learning strategies.
HR Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction for the HR team supporting Hong Kong and Taiwan, partnering with Talent Acquisition, Rewards & HR Operations, and People & Organization Development.
Requirements for the role:
• B.A. or B.S. degree
• 10+ years of HR experience, proficiency in HR disciplines, and experience advising senior management.
• The role demands strong leadership, influence, negotiation, presentation, communication, and group facilitation skills.
• It requires a well-rounded business background, diagnostic skills, and the ability to build trust at all levels, up to Managing Director level
• Exposure to Sales Incentive plans will be beneficial
• Experience with collaborating with global counterparts, team effectiveness, change processes, conflict resolution, and advanced communication skills are also essential.
• The candidate must exercise independent judgment, analyze and communicate complex issues, develop solutions, solicit input, facilitate discussions, and handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Mandarin and Cantonese language skills required
